It has been an interesting few days here in Slightly Off Quilter land. We had every intention on having more posts over the past couple of days, but life had other plans.

On Thursday we got to have our first, and hopefully only, up close and personal experience with emergency services. The ambulance ride was included free of charge!
We were having some chest and back pain which initially was putting on to trapped wind. Since we all know what happend the last time we put off chest and back pain to indigestion, Lily said we were calling 111 and letting them decide.
The ambulance arrived and we were in some discomfort but not anything I would have even taken Paracetamol /Tylenol for. Our vitals and ECG was normal, but given our cardiac history they felt it wise to let the hospital run some bloodwork. We loaded up in the ambulance and off we went to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn.
Our discomfort moved to pain after arriving at the hospital. They drew enough blood to sate a vampire, got a chest x-ray, and gave us a spritz of Nitro. The Nitro did the trick and pain levels were quickly back down to bearable levels. We can now add Stable Angina to our list of medical conditions. We have added another pill to the daily regiment as well as our very own Nitro spray.

Friday was spent relaxing at home and napping alot. It was much needed as we were still not feeling quite back to our normal selves.
On Saturday we were feeling much more like ourselves and had a bit of a day out. After grabbing a Gregs for lunch we headed back to Kings Lynn for Lily to experience her very first quilt show. We were also excited to support the Samphire Quilters 2024 Exhibition at the St Nicolas Chapel.
We are not quite sure which impressed us more, the quilts or the chapel. There was something to see in every direction including the ceilings and floors. Part of the entry was the ability to vote for visitors favorite, and it was a tough call for us both.

We both entered the tombola raffle and we won a super cute bag of homemade hair ties and a spool of thread. Naomi got to have the hair ties as she is the only one with hair long enough to make use of them, but we never turn down a good spool of thread.
Stay tuned to see what we get up to next, since you never can know !
